About the project

The project is a crypto wallet app designed to cater to the diverse needs of cryptocurrency users. The app seeks to streamline the experience for active traders by offering a single platform to manage a wide range of cryptocurrencies, complete with advanced trading tools, real-time portfolio tracking, and customizable alerts. The project prioritizes user-centric design and essential security measures to ensure a seamless and trustworthy experience for all users.

Competitive analysis

I started the project by analyzing similar apps to grasp user expectations and pinpoint areas for enhancement. Crypto wallet apps serve as the primary tool for users managing or purchasing digital funds, making them vital for delivering a superior service and user experience. Given the complexity of this market, thorough research is essential, as many apps lack background explanations of the market. Moreover, I observed that most apps are focused on specific functions like currency exchange, fund transfers, or custody solutions, but none offer a comprehensive suite of services.

The prominent features found in widely-used crypto wallet apps include holding funds in multiple currencies, tracking wallet balances, accessing currency market analytics, transferring funds to external wallets, managing custody processes, and facilitating crypto-to-fiat currency exchanges.

Qualitative research

In order to add a qualitative research I conducted an interview with a user who seeks for custody services and a trader in crypto currencies.

I possess a large amount of cryptocurrency assets that I utilize as a means of holding a diverse range of funds. To achieve this, I require a reliable custody service. However, existing providers offering such services, cater primarily to large institutions rather than individual clients like myself. Therefor, I find myself utilizing multiple platforms to ensure the security of my assets.

Trader

I engage in cryptocurrency trading as an investment strategy, buying and selling currencies frequently, sometimes multiple times within a day. Presently, I utilize several trading apps to access a wide variety of currencies. Managing funds across multiple platforms can be challenging, and I require a single app that has all these functionalities.
